City Committed to Empower Betawi Creative Industry

Jakarta Provincial Government committed to train and empower Betawi creative industry actors.

Local wisdom creative industry training has been regulated in Industry Raperda

This commitment has been written down in one article of industry regulation draft (Raperda) which recently is still discussed by City Council's Bapemperda and Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. (DPE).

"Local wisdom creative industry training has been regulated in Industry Raperda. City must empower them," said Elisabeth Ratu R.A., Head of Jakarta DPE's Industry Division, Wednesday (7/19).

She informed, his side has already trained 500 Betawi creative industry actors in five Jakarta regions.

"We are also spread fostered Betawi creative industry actors data to all Tourism and Culture Sub-depts. Thus they can contact them directly if they need Betawi souvenir, foods, or beverages," she expressed.

Asraf Ali, member of City Council's Bapemperda hopes, the application of this article could improve local wisdom actors' welfare in City.

"Council hopes City Government to build local wisdom IKM thus tourist who visit Jakarta will be easier to get various Betawi souvenirs," he closed.
